Victoria Paterson is a violinist in great demand for her musicality and diversity. She performs with the American Modern Ensemble, Pocket Opera Players, Sirius String Quartet, Bronx Arts Ensemble and the Brooklyn-based group, SEM. Victoria has also performed with the June in Buffalo New Music Festival and the Society for New Music, and spent many years performing with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. She performs with the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, American Composers Orchestra, Westchester Philharmonic and Long Island Philharmonic Orchestra. Summer festivals include the Aspen Music Festival, Vail Bravo Festival and the Skaneateles Chamber Music Festival.

During the 2006-07 season she was proud to be touring with the Barbra Streisand Orchestra throughout the United States and Europe. Recent engagements include Concertmaster for If You're Irish and The Irish Tenors and Associate Concertmaster with Frank Sinatra Jr., Donna Summer and Barry Manilow. Equally comfortable in both classical and pop music, Victoria performs live and on television with such stars as K.D. Lang, Elvis Costello, Sarah Brightman, Harry Connick Jr., Clay Aiken, Graham Colton, YES, The Moody Blues, Dead Can Dance, and the Trans-Syberian Orchestra. She has performed everywhere from David Letterman, Carnegie Hall, Birdland, Madison Square Garden, and The Today Show, performing for luminaries ranging from Hilary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, P. Diddy, Paris Hilton and Jennifer Lopez.

Victoria's Broadway credits include The Addams Family, West Side Story, Wicked, Cabaret, Beauty & the Beast, South Pacific and Sweet Charity— Off-Broadway shows I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and The Thing about Men. Her national Broadway productions include Fiddler on the Roof, Ragtime, Titanic, Sunset Boulevard, My Fair Lady and West Side Story.

Victoria is the founder of Lumiere Records, Inc., a thriving record company that focuses on classical music recordings. Six CDs with the Lumiere String Quartet were released in 2006, and their Classical Wedding Music continues to be one of the top-selling classical albums on Amazon and iTunes. Additional recording credits include movie soundtracks for The Producers, HBO's The Next Big Thing, The Thief, XBOX and numerous national television and radio commercials. She has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, New World Records and Mode Records.

Victoria studied violin at the Eastman School of Music with Peter Salaff of the Cleveland Quartet while earning her BA in Philosophy at the University of Rochester. She received a MM Degree in Violin Performance from Indiana University. Victoria performs on a violin made by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, Paris, France, circa 1860.

Victoria lives in New York City with her husband Robert Paterson, an award-winning composer, and their two-year-old son, Dylan.
